The Books
    #4369107 - 07/04/05 12:26 PM (11 years, 5 months ago)

I just got the album "Lost & Safe" by The Books, the first I've ever heard of them, and I must say they are AWESOME. Especially when listening with headphones on! I like their unique sound and the variety of their samples, as well as how they merge electronic and acoustic instruments. Check them out if this sounds up your alley!

I've heard some of their songs. They're nice, but no that unique.

these guys are great. and ABSOLUTLY original, nothing like this is coming out right now. i just bought "Thought for Food"...real good stuff. "The Lemon of Pink" is the best album, imo.

The Books are sooooo weird, I love that CD.

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.
