I was not too nervous for my first stage show, just seemed like the thing I should be doing, so why be nervous about it? It's like being nervous about breathing.

anyway, our rythem guitarist fucked up mid song and decided to stop playing untill the next verse started. That was cute. And we ran out of material before out set was over, (we had only been playing together for a month or two, casual basement jams, and one day our singer shows up and tells us he booked us a show, which would be in a couple days, even though we only had one song down well enough that I would want to play it in front of anyone, so we had to get our shit together quick, and did'nt have many songs to play) So we still had about ten minutes to fill on stage and we were out of material so Oh Fearless, our singer, who has to be one of the biggest morons i've ever known, suggests we just jam spontaneously. We do, it's a disaster. We were actually told afterwards that it was a good set untill we did that. Fuck. That was four years and three bands ago though.

congratulations on getting through your first gig. Yet another reason for CELEBRATION!!!

sweet! i play the drums in a band (see my sig)... we actually have a gig on friday... it's gonna be the first gig we're playing since january... we've been to busy recording and mixing our first EP that we haven't had time for any gigs... but our EP is almost finished so it's time to hit the clubs again... i rarely get nervous before a show anymore, though... last year we played a total of 18 gigs so it has become more of a routine for us... but man i do remember that first gig and how nervous i was... what a rush... it all works out in the end, though... and i'm not sure how we are going to do on friday because our guitarrist is on vacation now and we haven't had a proper practice in about 8 weeks... so hopefully we won't screw up too bad hehehe...

i used to be in a punk band 4 years ago, we did pretty well , mynd-fx
then joined a rock band caled 'the postmen', we had saxophones and synthesisers and played cool stuff like ' la bamba ' and some jazzy stuff
now the same group of people , after a few years all of us ended up playing funk and blues, we're now called ' The Beyond Within ' or on occasion the 'Wee Swallows'
like someone else said above,
what kind of music do you play?
anyone in a band thats not just rock? [ or emo or punk haha ]
