screw up my entire spore syringe.

The situation - i have two spore syringes - one being of the strain B+ the other being the strain Ecuador - I have 9 jars that have the verm/BRF mix in them and have been boiled then left overnight to cool or about 24 hours. I thus process to inject the spore's into the tubes, careful to use the right amount of mushroom spore, not to much not to little. Now, the 2 syringes are full of liquid (obvious) but there is also like this metallic foamy shiny thing in the middle of the syringe, its not that big but its floating around. I read that your supposed to shake up the syringe so the spores become equally distributed, so i did with the Ecuador Strain Syringe. Well when i did that black metallic foamy billowy floating object got mixed up with all of the liquid, i didn't think to much of it, in fact i even thought that it was the mushroom spore so i kept shaking it all up till i felt that the spores, whether the foamy metallic object or not, had been well distributed equally.

Well i inject 4 out of 5 of the jars with the Ecuador strain, i have about 3/4 of the syringe left so i re-sterilize the tip then put the cap on and but it in a safe dark spot in my closet.

I thus from their take the B+ syringe and start to inject my other 5 jars. Well i inject the first jar and realize that i had totally forgotten to shake up the syringe, and i had deposited the foamy metallic billowy floating object completely into the 1st jar, and that there was no trace of it left in the B+ strain syringe. So, i flip out because i think that i had deposited all my spores of an entire syringe into one jar, but then i thought why would the spore's of the B+ strain, or any mushroom strain for that matter, be grayish black in that it appeared to be metallic.

So I'm looking for some clarification, was this metallic thing in the syringe that looks like a metal sponge chunk floating around the actual mushroom spores or some sort of mandatory item that most spore vendor's put into their syringe's for some reason unknown to me. Because it would be such a bummer if i completely ruined my B+ strain syringe.

You can be assured that a clear syringe, will have millions of spores in it, plenty for usage. Im unsure of what was in there, but the rest of the syringes should be viable still.
