ahh, well, i've never had the problem

wouldnt the co2 levels be very high, making you have to fan even more? i would think ice would be a more effective/cheaper solution.

when i was younger and getting into mycology at first, i didnt have any incubator, so i would fill 2 liters with the hottest tap water and place it in the tub with the jars... worked perfectly, but had to replace about 3 times a day...

i think you could do that with 2 liters, just fill with water, freeze, and you can even wipe down the outside with a bleach solution to sanitize...

Main problems would be expense of dry ice(it is fairly expensive where I live at least...) .. and it is CO2. So it would have to be outside of the chamber ... so that it does not raise CO2 levels.

But obviously, experiment away.....

maybe put your fruiting chamber tub on top of another tub with the dry ice? you can find dry ice at walmart for 1 or 2 bucks a bag I think.

i get it for like 1.29 a lb, but i still dont think it would be a practical solution, cost vs effectiveness... if anything, instead of using an incubator with heater, fill your bottom tub with ice water

heh.
I mean yeah it would work.. but it seems like it would cost more than it is worth. Ice is just about free. So why pay for something that has to be used in a special way to make it work? Plus, dry ice is really cold. Which is good in a way... but not if it brings temps too low. However, on the plus side.. it could last longer than normal ice. Just seems like there are better ways to spend the $$$.

But if you can get it cheap.. and you want to.. then use it. Just don't put it inside the chamber.
