Almost fruiting time!!!

Well, right now swim has 11 jars in greatly different stages of colonization. Jars are ranging from 100% pure white growth to 0% visible. Jars are made from both B+ and Aussie, with a couple different types of substrates (popcorn, standard brf, brf/finch mix). Most jars have either been opened or had their holes opened to allow more air. What is really worrying swim is that some of the jars seem to have really slowed down lately, and he doesn't know whether it is a problem with oxygen, heat or humidity.

He has no idea what to do! He thought about casing them, He thought about building a terrarium, He thought about sticking the cakes in a clear bag with perlite, He thought about making a cardboard box with a heater.

Right now he is thinking this would be the easiest-while-still-good thing to do.

Go to store and buy 11 clear, thick bags.
Cover bags bottom with perlite about an inch deep, fill with half inch water.
As cakes become ready, put them into the fridge overnight to help them pin, then set them on top of the perlite. Twist tie bags closed.
Put bags in a heated, lighted box. Figure pet store light, pet store heater.

That sound good? What can make it better? Is it dumb not to case?

Thanks...

No, it's not dumb to not case, just a matter of what suits you.

But put them in a heated box
It's summertime (I think), yep, I'm sweatin.
You wanna fruit at 10 degrees lower than inc. temp

Good Luck

See what your saying, but AC and chilly nights seem a little risky. Maybe if a light was in there the'd be no need for heat?

Maybe could set em on the window seel?

*sigh*

Basement is typically about 10 degrees colder than the house.. Mush will fruit at normal temps, it just takes forever! And the flushes kinda suck...
