Hey guys, I found these mushrooms in my lawn this morning as I was coming down from an awesome acid trip. Hopefully somebody can tell me what kind they are.
a. Habitat - shady, damp lawn in eastern CT b. Characteristics of the gills - gills are grayish brown, attached, some begin at edge and extend only half way to the stem c. Measurements of cap and stem - caps are all less than 2 cm in diameter, stems are about 5-10 cm d. Characteristics of the stem - stems are brownish tan, thin, smooth, bottom 1 cm is covered in what appears to be mycelium, with tiny white flecks on bottom 2 cm. I think the stems are solid but I could be mistaken. The stems were fairly soft and moist e. Characteristics of the cap - cap is light brown, darker in the center and edge, smooth, round, young mushrooms have spherical caps, older ones are hemispherical f. Spore print color - black, lighter prints appear purplish g. Color that the mushroom bruises - bruises are very slow to appear, and are darker brown h. Scent of mushroom - no strong scent
Hopefully that's an adequate description. Thanks for any help you can offer!
