Would sun drying mushrooms have negative effects of any kind?

Thanks,

Nickster64

Depending on where you live, the humidity level might make this near impossible.

I do it all the time in these months. It works great! Set a tray, like one for a dehydrator out first thing in the morning and at dusk they'll damn near be cracker dry,

they will bruise dark blue, is about all. i dried my shrooms in dehydrator at 95F, so a hot ass sunny day shouldnt hurt them any. Could be a little potency loss if too much heat, but some claim this is only a rumor.

UVA and/or UVB rays have negative effects on the psilocybin and psilocin. That's what I've read on hear anyway and it is warned against in TMC.

I have also heard that uv rays will break down the psilocybin. It's not to say that they wont still effect you, just that there may be SOME potency loss.

Would birds flying by try to eat them?

fan dry, desiccant. It really isn't that hard. I don't advise sun drying; some of the reason have already been noted. High heat exposure does negatively effect potency.
