I am new & did a casing useing the 50-50 + tech & i was wondering if anybody can tell me about how u think it might be before i will produce magic shrooms! Thanks for your time!

Thanks. They just seem to be going slow it is a mix of penis envy & thialnd super strain. Had problems getting the jars completely colonized & they wouldn't slide out. i had to take a kinife & cut them out of the jar & crumble them into the casing. Here is a few more pics the other casing isn't doing so well. You have any idea about how Long it will be before some pinning occurs? Thanx AGAIN! PEACE

You do realize that you cannot simply mix 2 strains and expect them to cross...its going so slow because one of the strains had to dominate the other and take over

PENIS ENVY is a PC species & thailand strain is also a pc strain. ya know for instance you can't mix Psilocybe Azurescen & Psilocybe Cubensis .... so penis envy is Psilocybe Cubensis & thailand super strain is Psilocybe Cubensis so there shouldn't be a conflick unlike if you mix strains such as Psilocybe Cubensis & Psilocybe Samuiensis or Panaeolus Tropicalis or Panaeolus Cambodginiensis now you see where i am saying? Actually PC is a species of mushroom, and Penis Envy and Thailand are both strains of PC. So, as HippieChick correctly stated, you were right in saying "but not other strains"

I would guess by looking at your casing, it it were a "normal" casing, 3-5 days.
But with it being a combination of the two strains, who knows ?
Have patience and see what happens.
Good Luck. Should be interesting to see who wins. One good thing, PE is identifiable,lol.

Now how would one know or see signs if the casing is in Fruiting mode? Thanxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx :-) like i said i am a newbie! lol

You won't know if it's in fruiting mode until fruiting bodies begin to form. That can take up to 10 days under good fruiting conditions : light, warmth, oxygen and humidity. But with your mix could be longer.
Once fruiting begins you'll see hyphal knots forming in the mycelium, followed by pinning.

I've tried different mixes and have only besten it once. I misted it with straight 3% H2O2.

With cobweb I like to mist with about 50%h20 / 50% h202(3%) and expose it to fresh air. You should do this in a generally clean area, as exposing your casing to unfiltered air can make it more prone to contamination from molds, etc. I keep the casing uncovered for a few hours giving it a fine mist from the h20/h202 solution every 20-30 minutes.
