$3.6 million grow-op busted

Cannabis marijuana grow operation discovered in Kerns Township near New Liskeard

(City of Temiskaming Shores, ON) - The discovery of an outdoor cannabis marijuana grow operation resulted in the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a Kerns Township residence, approximately 30 kilometres west of the City of Temiskaming Shores.

The investigation, conducted by members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the O.P.P., and members of Project Northern Gateway (an O.P.P. Drug Enforcement Section lead initiative), resulted in the dismantling and seizure of the operation.

Approximately 3,600 cannabis marijuana plants were seized as well as other miscellaneous items of equipment related to the growing of marijuana.

The cannabis marijuana seized has a potential street value of approximately $3,600,000.

The offence-related property seized has a value of approximately $2,000.

Date of Birth: 30 September 1954
Address: 514 Huntingwood Road, Scarborough, ON
Offences: one count of production of a controlled substance - Section 7(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Court: Bail Hearing - Monday the 04th of July 2005.

Why is it a lot of the big grow op leaders have Asian names? Is the Asian mafia taking over the marijuana trade in North America or what?
