temperature drop
    #4355493 - 06/30/05 01:31 PM (18 years, 9 months ago)

My apartment is usually between 77-86 degrees, usually on the high end
i've thought about it quite a bit but i couldnt come up with anything really reasonable enough to create a 10 degree temperature drop.
i've read that cold shocking cubes can slow the fruiting process as opposed to trigger it

i was thinking i should move them to my parents basement or something but thats not as convenient

Im having this problem now. Im on my 4th day after birth with no sign of pins, humidity is fine but the temp has been steady and high so I dragged a window unit AC out of my storage room, installed it and moved the chamber near it. I did this a couple hours ago, Ill post tommorrow and say whether i got any pins yet, or not(with a pic if theres anything to see)

Cakes look fine, the red is a reflection on the tinfoil under the cake.

DONT WORRY ABOUT TEMPS! Temp. stability is important if you want massive flushes or are doing bulk grows. I am just starting to experiment with casings. And I have had my casings in the PMP for about 8 days now. I have been worried becasue every day I check and every day NO PINS. Well, guess what. My temp is 81 degrees and I haven't been able to get it down. Although this isn't optimal and hence with give you a less than perfect pin set, I checked this morning. Day 9 = PINS! BE PATIENT AND FOOL WITH yOUr CASINGS AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE (with the exception of air exchanges, misting ect.).

you need more patience it can take several days to get pins.
