me and my friend have just successfully birthed 12 out of 12 of our pf style cake innoculated w/ hawaiians and were wondering how much we could expect per flush... they all look good, but it's been about 3 days in the ultrasonic humidified shroom home and still no pinning, do these guys just take long? they are hit with a few hours of fluorescent light each day, humidity is around 97 and temp at 72F... we've also tried venting it out a bit... should i just be more patient? thanks

You are going the cake route huh?
make sure that you fan out your terrairium at least once a day (you should do it more since you are using ultrasonic). but if your #'s are correct your humidity is good. I'd raise that temp a bit though, it really speeds things up.
I'd say you get around 5 dry grams a cake (combined flushes) and thats being optimistic.
maybe 1 or 2 (dry) grams a cake per flush, give or take. So 12 cakes could get you a quarter oz. of dried product (realisticly) per flush.
good luck ...and maybe let us know how it turns out

so only two of my jars made it (they were the only ones that germinated... bad batch of syringes). I'm casing the both of them together today. they've been at 100% for about a week in the jars cause I went away and was told it would be good for them anyway. So with the two 10 oz jars (so like 2.5 cakes from normal PF jars) cased with 50/50+ at about 78 degrees and humidity around 90%, what kind of yield can i expect? anima said 5 grams per cake for all flushes, but casing increases yields, no? so am i going to be getting 15-20g for the combined two-cake casing? less? more?
plus, animana... i don't mean to be a bother, but 5 grams per cake time 12 cakse makes 60 grams. 28 grams makes an ounce, so these two dudes are looking at 2 oz optimistically? you said a quarter ounce. is it my math or your math or something else that's wrong here?

be patient, AFOAFcakes just pinned after 9 days
after AFOAF last 48 jars or BRF/VERM, i think the average was 3 grams dried per cake, which is a little low

anima: your figures are a little off
You can expect anwhere from 1 - 6 grams per cake per flush. It all depends how surrounding conditions are and how stable they are kept. I would expect a little less than an ounce from the 12 cakes on your first flush. Second flush will degrade in value and you could expect, perhaps, a little more than a 1/2 ounce. Last (third) flush might give you slightly less. Total dry weight should be about an ounce and a half.

Ya, I was going to mntion that too, because on my first attempt I ended up with like 1 and 1/8 ounces from only a few cakes without knowing what i was doing.
