Tides In - "Trip With Me" (mp3)
    #4358803 - 07/01/05 10:38 AM (12 years, 9 months ago)

To celebrate the first day of July, I invite you to open the foil and pop this 1966 psych didy from into your mouth.  I like this song a lot.  It really turns me on.  Let's see what Borderline Books has to say about Tides In...............

Quote:

Tides In

45:
1 Trip With Me/? (Sanfris 18) 1966

From Brooklyn, New York. Their Trip With Me is a rather labored punker and not what the title promises.

Compilation appearances include: Trip With Me on Chosen Few Vol's 1 & 2 (CD) and The Chosen Few, Vol. 1 (LP).

Check out the lyrics, listen and enjoy...............

Quote:

"Trip with me
and you will see
a magic world
in which you'll be free
The cube is right for it's little price
so come on babe
and trip with me

The places you 'll see
could only be
in the magic world
in which you'll be free
You'll never feel bad
you'll never feel sad
so come on babe
and trip with me
"

Tides In - Trip With Me

I love the quality on these tracks, Learyfan.  it takes me to a place I was never able to physically experience due to generation travel lapse

thanks for the tunes, you dont happen to know where i can find who jim morrison spoken word albums, eh?

--------------------
A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion. The rhythm goes beyond, prying into the third eye, releasing the creativity held so far inside. The melodicies, through the out of tune pianos and broken classical guitars...there lies a beauty. A beauty as prevelent as the fire inside. To release these energies is pure ecstacy, to deveop these gifts is sacred. The vocality, so pure as can be, shying away from herself, lies within me. For the underlying serenitity, this is what I live for. I plea for harmony, and nothing more. Music equals love. Creation of love leads to the procreativity of the World, and it's spirals and puddles prevailing.

Glad to hear that Tides In was able to take you to a magic world in which you'll be free.  :ooo:  That song is GROOVY, baby.

Morrison spoken word albums?  Well, they aren't exactly spoken word albums, but Deepman has two long Jim Morrison interviews on his FTP site.  It may or may not work right this minute, but  click here to access the FTP.  When you're able to access it, you'll see a long interview from 1970 and a audio recording of Jim's Rolling Stone interview from 1971 shortly before his death.  One of them was recorded in LA and the other in Paris.  I can't remember which is which, though.  He also has some other various Morrison interviews as well.

Would you like an original band photo to go with that?
