Morning Glory seed as additive?

I am probably just ignorant about the mushroom chemistry here but I was wondering what would happen if you made something like a 70% BRF and 30% powdered Morning Glory Seed mix in a normal 1/2 pint cake. Does anyone think it would significantly add potency through the myco metabolism (increased psilocybe production or other chems). Has anyone tried this? I'm not looking to replace WBS or Rye I am just wondering about substrate additives.

i think its tryptophan that gets converted into psilocin and psilocybin. so if the MG seeds had a high content of it then it might be worth a try.

Greetings... I am 'new' to the board in the sense of using this screen name, however I grew back in 2002 using a Mycobag (Maztapec)and netted like 1/3oz dry (fruit Dec. 2002) and used this board for about 85% of my information heheh. Thank you!
I've been in lurk mode for about a month after a 2 year break from this board.
Anyway I like this idea. Any other thoughts?

Don't be an ass, its a perfectly logical question, from a logical standpoint. Increase base tryptamine source=more tryptamines in your mushys. Wet her this actually works has been argued for a long time. I do notice increased potency when i add L-5-Hydroxytryptamine to my substrate. Other people have had differing results though. Don't laugh at people who are new to the hobby, its not very becoming.

You mean more pysilocin/beaocrystin(sp?/pysilobin...?
Prove it.
I wasn't laughing....Or making fun...
You can only increase potency so much.
W/o a control, (which is rather impossiable to obtain...unless you do a chemical study)...it means nothing...
And it's not even really noticable...
That's why I recommended something that contains way more chemicals.(potency)

But on a side note.
I see no reason why NOT to try it...

Exactly, like i said. It is very contraversial. I agree if you want better potency go with az. or cyan. But it wasn't a laughable question.

And incase you're intersted (thread starter...)
Burgular Wheat has quite a bit of Tryphans...
Try doing rye (BG has 6x try. as rye )....mixed w/ some BG, spawned to some poo.
That's probably the best you could get (in terms of potency)...Regardless of whether or not the tryphans were what increased..anything....lol
Gl man.

Has anybody considered maybe adding banana peals? Don't they contain tryptamine? It could be a good thing to try. Maybe the banana peals myth will finally come in handy.
