Ohio Hunting
    #4357442 - 07/01/05 12:46 AM (11 years, 5 months ago)

I want to get into some mushroom hunting in northern ohio. I read that Pan subs and Psilocybe caerulipes grow in my area. I am pretty sure they both grow around this time and was wondering where is the best place to look. In the cow fields or in the woods or along roadsides. I just need a place to start then I will be on my way.

Hello Friends.
I am a perfectly normal human worm baby.
You have nothing, absolutely nothing to fear from me, just pay no attention to me and we will get along fine.

How about neither.

Try looking in well fertilized SOD, or in piles of horse dung. Subbs will grow all over horse dung after a good rain, but SOD is a rarity.

I've never found cearulipes before but I'd suggest walking along rivers and creeks in the woods or checking manmade mulchy areas ( gardens parks etc).

Or you could just try researching the hunting faq all you need is there.
