I'm assuming that's your substrate in the small tub? Then it looks like once you case, the holes will be just above tthe casing layer. Looks good! GL :thumbup:

The two bottom holes need to be at the substrate level for CO2 expulsion. Placing the holes in a higher location will diminish the expulsion and you will have to rely on pressure from fresh air to push the CO2 out, as opposed to the CO2 simply evacuating at the substrate/casing level.

If you haven't already read this and this, I suggest you do. Stick with the tek. Making changes to the design in this case will not yield desirable results.

maybe i'm not understanding what meams is saying, but it looks like the holes will be right at the substrate level. He says the holes will be placed below the handles in the blue tub which from my house appear to be at the substrate level. Maybe I need new glasses. :eek:

BTW Wronguy, your tek on the single/dub tub rocks, that's currently what I'm using. Peace! :mushroom2:

im goign to add a couple quick q's also. hope no harm done. If i store my double tub in a pleace that is dusty but the dust is settled. will i be safe?. (will a rope light on top of tub in a dark closet be enough light / any other fire safe lighting methods would be helpful) #2, during the fruitng stage on the double-tub tek. would it improve the flushes or quanity if i rig up a ultrasonic humidifer to it.

#1. It would be best to clean the room, at least vaccume and dust, maybe lysol some surfaces. As long as you dont open the tub (except to case and harvest) the polyfill will help keep out the nasties. Always think "Better Safe Then Sorry!" .Rope lights should work fine.
A small fan blowing in the room (not at the tubs) can help with co2 expulsion. (thus cleaning the room first would be beneficial.)

#2. An ultrasonic would defeat the purpose of the double-tub tek.
You only need to open it twice, once to case and once to harvest, Thus keeping all the moisture inside.

If you have more questions it would be best if you started another thread.
