can anyone ID these?
    #4353029 - 06/29/05 11:54 PM (11 years, 11 months ago)

here is a closeup, kinda blurry

this one is a little better quality, as you can see it has orange in the center fading out to white, white stem it grew from nothing to this within 6 hours, its about 3-4 inches tall, ive never seen one before

and this is a different one, i have seen them before in the fields but not sure what it is, it has a tannish grey cap, brown stem and is about 3 inches tall, also grew from nothing to this in about 6 hours

i havent pulled them to take a spore print yet just in case either are worth keeping to reproduce. any ideas?

It would be a good idea to collect some and bring them home. You can observe things and collect additional info on them that was not available in the field. Things like spore printing, dissecting, observing what happens as it ages, etc.

I see these in fields in FL all the time... I am 99% sure that they are Panaeolus antillarum. They do not bruise blue.

Your a FL shroomer, check out GPS.

links in the sig.

this is a non-active mushroom.

The white stem reminds me of coprinus on the first two but im probably wrong haha and the last one looks like an inactive panaeolus.

the 3 pics posted above look fairly similiar but the 3rd one is slightly different i guess... the 3rd one could be a different genus. Check to see if bruises any specific color. could be lucky and have a cope cyan, but likely not.

Take a print

IMO its likely one of these...
panaeolus campanulatus or Panaeolus sphinctrinus

good luck IDing it

yep, the first two pictures are of Panaeolus antillarum.

the third pic is from the Panaeolus campanulatus group or complex.

neither of them are psychoactive.
