All I know is do it out doors. I am currently experimenting this also. I know that if you refer to Growing Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms by Paul Stamets you will find concrete answers, but it cost about Fifty bucks! I just sqirted some hardwood logs with some spores that I took fromm a specimen I found in the wild. Maybe next year something will grow.
Have you ever eaten a Big Gym? It doesent fell like Psilocybin. More like acid but not as good. It kind of sucks but its still fun.

Id reccomend multispore agar innoculation

then sawdust spawn the logs
equals shitloads of logs and shrooms if you play your cards right.
can anyone direct me to some spores of gyms taht theyve personally tested as positive?

A year or so ago someone, maybe Mushroom John, posted a full cultivation plan for the Laughing Gym. I did searches here and in the archives but can't find the damn thing. Wish I'd saved it then. ARGGGH.
Anyway, I'd try to first get some reliable spores. Then, do a mutlispore inoc. into sterile rice flour, etc. enriched with juice from rotting woods steeped in hot water.
After colonization, I'd use the spawn to knock up a pile of moist, decaying wood outdoors. A guess would be ideal temps in the mid to upper 70s.

I find these Big Gyms all over where I live. If I find any more, I'll test the shrooms for tripability and send free spores to anyone that wants some.
