If you are referring to what to buy, a print would be better. A syringe is a 10ml solution of spores. A print is a means to make several 10ml solution of spores if you have the syringes and knowledge to do so.

A print comes from a mature mushroom where the spores are dropped onto either foil, paper, card stock, laminate, or other viable collection means.

You will yield much more by purchasing a print over a syringe. The best way to do any of this is to purchase a syringe, make up some liquid culture using 3 bottles ala Agar's method with 1/2 ml each, and place the rest into a vacutainer for later use.

Could I scrape the print (all of it) in to a jar? what would that do? I can get golden teacher for 5 bucks.

assuming you have sanitary conditions, a print is much more economical. but with syringes your less likely to contam, assuming of course you get it from a reliable source.
