Hey everyone, I just wanted to know what you guys thought about some of the spores that we ordered. IF you have cultivated any of these in the past your feedback will be very helpful . We ordered 5 different syringes with, B+, Orrisa India, South American, Cambodian and Gulf Coast!!! We are going to start off small and if our approach works out we will inoculate more cakes with different spores. Thanks guys!

Sounds like you have a great selection to start off with. I've only read bad things about the Gulf Coast.
Good Luck with em

I have done all 5 strains, along with 11 others, in order of my preference:
South American Orrisa India Cambodian Gulf Coast B+
SA is one of my favorite strains, top 3..B+ I hate the most of all my strains tried. OI's are very nice, Cams are decent as are GC.
SA on left, B+ on right:

Check out my "Turn your closet into a fruiting chamber link in my signature". And do alot of reading .
The casing mix, if thats what you mean, is peat/coir/perlite/verm/lime/oystershell. Peat moss/verm/buffer works as a great casing layer though. The substrate is horsepoo/worm castings/coir/straw/verm/wbs/rye, strait h-poo and verm (maybe some coir too) works wonderfully as well, when you spawn some WBS to it.
The SA's and B+'s more grown up here (bottom black shelf on the left):

Thats what I suggest, not just moss though, make sure its "peat moss". Figure you mean that, but just checking. And make sure oystershell is powdered..
>what can i expect from that with a substrate of BRF, verm, and H. Poo?
Works fine spawning cakes to horse poo. Horse poo with about 20% verm is great as a substrate, and anything can be used as spawn. I like WBS a hell of a lot better to spawn with, because it breaks up easier then cakes into lots of small grains, and the more broken up and smaller the grains the better (more inoc points). Cheap as all hell too. I add rye to my WBS because it helps alot..more info about that in my grains link if you want to know..but WBS or rye..or even cakes work great spawned to horse poo.
Perfect everything, including conditions are needed to run a closet like that, but just some cakes or bird seed spawned to straight horse poo can yeild great results if all else is done well and very potent mushrooms. Use a 10-25% spawn rate (10-25% cakes, the rest hpoo). Try a sterilized cheeze grater to break up your cakes small as you can and mix it in well.

Peat moss is also great for mj. I think when we were transplanting our mj plants outside and went to get copious amount of peat moss the lady knew exactly what we were planting. All she said to us was..."So guys..this is for shrubs right?.....yeah..RIGHT!"

i love it when people know what ur doing and u know they know and stuff. this one time i was at k-mart getting verm, perlite, brf, and jars. the checkout girl knew exactly what i was doing, even though she really couldnt say anything about it at the time. its like, u feel really connected to those people at those moments...a silent understanding of purpose.

I always wonder if they "know" when I'm buying strange stuff I normally wouldn't be.
Especially when I run into the old ladies craft stores. They are looking at me like crazy eyed and shit.
