Fruiting chamber air exchange? how much is necessary

Hello, I have a question. I have a 2 tier mini greenhouse as a fruiting chamber along with a Vick's cool mist pumping air into it. Now, I have had a casing in there for a week and a half and no distinguishable knots have formed. I'm thinking that my humidity is to low. I mist the casing about once every 2-3 days and the cool mist is on a timer: 1.5 hours off, 1.5 hours on, repeat. Could there be to much air exchange? Should I change the timer to 3 hours off 1.5 on? I'm trying to figure out how my cool mist should be run with my timer. each notch on the timer is = 1.5 hours. OR could my problem just be fixed if I mist more often. what do ya guys think?

What is average temp & average RH in the unit?
You might want to think about a temp drop cold shock .... if nada happens in 3 or 4 days.

I've never had much luck getting humidity up using the Vicks machine, but I would suggest you mist more. I mist twice a day and that provides adequate humidity for a casing, and I back off when pins arrive. Works for me.

I think its cold enough. its about low 70s tops. its cold here not sure about the RH that's why I'm asking but I think its on the low side. There is condensation in the chamber but not a whole lot.

The cool mist on my friends Martha is run 24/7 and it blows the sides of the Martha up like a balloon (lots of air exchange) and the Rh is about 90%. So maybe try to run it all day and night without turning it off, and misting. Air exchange should promote pinning - so i doubt that's your problem. If you are misting every couple days humidity is prob not your problem either. I'd say just wait it out a couple more days and see how it goes.

I had a vicks coolmist running 24/7 into a rubbermaid 95 gal tote that was airtight as hell, and the RH was horrible. For a greenhouse set up you really need an ultrasonic and even then its tricky to get the right amount of moisture. I will be posting a killer tek for the lemuncave 4 tier greenhouse as soon as I build it and verify that it works. Greenhouse should arrive today =).
