Pins have grown into Shrooms
    #4348066 - 06/28/05 08:03 PM (18 years, 8 months ago)

What were just small pins a few days ago are now starting to look more like full size shrooms

Like I was saying in my other post , these should be either B+ or Cambodian. Has anyone who has grown either or both care to comment as to which they resemble more at this point or is it still too early? Already got one vote for them being Cambo

I say cambo. Cams like to grow in clusters. I've never seen anything but hearty b+

Cambo's are cubes, aren't they?

And isn't it sort of impossible to tell the difference between most cube strains anyways?

Plus, you have to take into consideration the differing substrates and parameters the musrooms were growing under, and other factors when you're comparing harvests. One person's shrooms can look different from the next person's, even if they came from the same strain.

Thanks for all the help. The reason they are small is I made the casing layer thin to aide in speedy colonization , and to improve my chances of getting some mushrooms.

I no longer have any spores of these genetics , and this was pretty much my last chance at getting a spore print whithout having to order another syringe.

                                                                                Thanks again

gotta agree with shroom skater, cubies to me seem to hard to tell apart. all the different strains i have worked with and they all seem to be very similar in appearance. i say similar, some do have slight variations for me. not that i have worked with alot of different strains at this point. 5 so far.
peace

there are diferences but they are enough to beside which strain they are. Eq's=pointed cap, tc's=pin like crazy first flush and are short int he first and are light colored and get big the 2nd 3rd flush, b+ almost oval cap from the side, gt fuzzy stems deep blue and keep their vails, pf fat ass'es and strong as fizuck, penis envy wrinkly asss stems, pesa average, pesh average. every strain shows these symptoms in at least 1 shroom per flush. could never give a good id.
I can tell a cube, well sometimes , and azure, a cyan, a cyan fib

I've also noticed that PFs I've grown and ever other picture of PF strain I've seen the shrooms grow all directions, really twisty stems.

They seem to have grown over night , and sparted dropping spores everywhere. When should I harvest them so I can still get a few decent spore prints? Someone told me harvest them when the edges of the caps turn up.
