Just wondering if its possible. I live in Ontario so i generally get really good weed but the dealers never tell you what strain, and if they do its a madeup salespitch. Is there any way to tell if its sativa or indica?
In addition, if you're looking at a long, loose, fluffy bud with very thin stems, it's probably a sativa. If the bud is compact, bushy, and thick, it's probably an indica. Sativas tend to produce lighter colored buds while indicas produce darker buds, but this varies considerably from strain to strain. Most of the bud you'll find nowadays is a hybrid of the two, so you'll either be getting mostly indica or mostly sativa. Most hybrids have qualities of both.
I don't know, but I think it's most likely indica. I thought sativa takes longer to flowe so with indica you can grow more within a certain period so that's probably more interesting when you want to make money. This is just a midnight theory, don't know if I'm right
most bud i have seen on the streets is a mix of genetics between sativa and indica plants. Almost all of the weed in N/A I have seen sold in public outside california is of impure genetics (aka bagseed) and like mentioned most of the times when they say "aww i got some white widow" etc they really have no idea.
Sativa fan leaves are long and skinny, indica's are broad and shorter. Like I said most you will find will have both traits mixed together. The faster flowering of indica and its heavy couchlock mixed with the "high" sativa feeling usually pleases everybody
