Bowling... a groovy sport
    #4347371 - 06/28/05 04:14 PM (18 years, 8 months ago)

Over the weekend AshMama and I were trapped in a town called Lowell, near Grand Rapids, for a crabbish birthday party. So we decided to do what any hard-working citizen would do on a borish weekend of strandation... we went bowling!

I won the first game... barely. I hadn't bowled in at least 5 years! Probably more like 10. But then AshMama came back and beat my ass, and then I beat hers, and I think that was all we played. My top score was 91 I believe... which I thought was pretty good, until I figured out that it's 91 out of 300! Damn, so I didn't even average 50%...

Oh well, that shit was fun. And lemme tell you, it takes some muscles to bowl. I used muscles I had forgotten existed, and the next few days they were making their aching presence known.  :ooo:

Bowling (today) is such an unnatural sport, compared to most. It would be hard to have yourself a good game of bowling without going to some bowling lanes. But hey, I'm not complaining. It's not too expensive either, but damn they get you on the shoe rentals!

I don't consider anything a "sport" when you can be competetive at it while smoking cigarettes and drinking beer! :smirk:

But drunken-bowling is a fucking blast!

Oh, and 91 is a shitty score.  Thats usally about where I bowl so I should know. My wife bowls around 150-160 consistently.  I've never won a game with her.

I haven't bowled in awhile, but I used to be in a league with my mom, aunt, and cousin when I was about 16.  I even have my own ball.  It's a very fun game.

I just get drunk and then I don't care about my suckiness.  Of course, the fact that I don't think I've ever bowled sober might have something to do with the fact that I've never been any good at it.  Its a vicious cycle!

Maybe that's what I need...some booze to help loosen up the 'ol joints!

A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion. The rhythm goes beyond, prying into the third eye, releasing the creativity held so far inside. The melodicies, through the out of tune pianos and broken classical guitars...there lies a beauty. A beauty as prevelent as the fire inside. To release these energies is pure ecstacy, to deveop these gifts is sacred. The vocality, so pure as can be, shying away from herself, lies within me. For the underlying serenitity, this is what I live for. I plea for harmony, and nothing more. Music equals love. Creation of love leads to the procreativity of the World, and it's spirals and puddles prevailing.
