I figured this would be the right place to introduce myself.. So let's see. I'm 26, currently living in Oklahoma City and am in my junior year of college. Politically speaking I stand somewhere around center. I'm actually a vet, but do not at all believe in the bs that is Iraq, for example - Bush I think is disgusting, simply in it for himself. My hobbies are fishing and grappling, brazilian jiujitsu to be specific - what an amazingly addictive and challenging art it is. Its been a few years now since I've tripped, but I'm begginning to feel the urge to do so again. I don't feel like I'm lost, but more so like I'm at a plateau in life, intellectually speaking. My brain is bored I guess. I messed with LSD way too early in my life - scared myself enough that I havn't touched it since, nor will I ever again. Shrooms on the other hand..wow, words can't begin to describe some of the things I've felt or suddenly understood. Never have I looked at life with such a smile, had such an urge to break down laughing and crying at the same time - To see the world clearly, even if only for a few short minutes, was truly beautiful, and painful..so much needless and foolish suffereing out there. Shrooms sparked my interest in buddhism - I studied on my own for a few years, but eventually gave it up. Towards the end it felt like I made great progress, progress to the point of it suddenly making me want to quit. I did. I didn't entirely want to see the world for what it was. Our illusions sometimes are our safety net, ya know? I want to try again.
The truth is, I seeked out this forum in hopes I could find someone from Oklahoma that might be able to help me out in my search. My friends are not the psychonaut types.
