i was wondering what temp. conditions were to drastic. right now on a digital my jars are 93* at the bottom and 80* at the top . what would be dangerous to myc. thx for help .

93F is too hot... aim for 83F.

95F+ is definitely dangerous. :crazy:

mycelium death occurs at 106 degrees. but 80-85 is optimal. playing with 90's can be dangerous.. you wanna think that not only the mycelium is at risk- but you dont wanna dry out your substrate. and... glass can hold heat, so it may be warmer inside your jars than the ambient temp of your incubation chamber.

I agree with Everlast. Aim for 83 degrees not 93. With temps in the mid-90's not only do you risk drying out the substrait (it can be done however) but you are running the risk of haveing a single green mold spore becomeing a killer monster that will take out the good white fungus in less than 48 hours. If things are 100% sterile it is possible, but still those temps might dry the substrait too much.
