a spore print is like a thumbprint of a mushroom.. you put a cap, gills down, on a white sheet of paper and it drops spores.. which are like little mushroom seeds.. depending on color, consistency and other qualities, its easier to identify the mushroom. for cubensis youre looking for a purple sporeprint.. but truthfully, ive never taken a spore print before.. once you know what they look like.. you dont need it.

Just look at enough pics of P.Cubensis mushrooms. They are the only ones that look like that, that grow on cow manure. Make sure they bruise blue/green, spore print purple. It is almost certainly difficult to mistake a cubensis if found on manure. If you are fairly new to this and want to be extra sure, dont pick and eat any that dont grow on manure until you become more familiar with the mushroom. Good luck and be safe!

The best way to spore print is to cut the cap off as close as possible, put it on a peice of paper, cover it with a glass or tufferware and lift in 3 hours or more...Most mushies with Psilocybin come out with a blue spore print...good luck!

It should be noted Chlorophyllum molybdites produces a greenish bruising reaction. Someone really unfamiliar with mushrooms could potentially make the unfortunate mistake of confusing this for cubensis… if they neglected to do a bit of homework and or forgo the spore print after seeing the bruising reaction.
