Spirit in everything?
    #4344346 - 06/27/05 08:09 PM (12 years, 3 months ago)

I feel like my animals are spirits!  Once I saw a human in my cats fact, just looking out at me.  But it might have just been a spirit.  This feeling has escalated into a sort of halting belief, such as I believe it somewhere on a fantastical, minute level, but I remain skeptical nonetheless just in cast, so I don't get wrangled in by my own imaginings.  I could go either way, really.  I don't know why but I feel like animals are people!  I even think that plants might be...I see some sort of spirit everywhere, in everything.  Like...it's everywhere, sometimes I'll be alone and feel like I'm in a room full of people, the feeling is so strong.    This is how I felt a long time ago...then it went away..now it's back again.  I like this feeling so much that I don't even care if it's hallucinatory.

Does anyone know what I mean??  Or am I just comfortably

I believe that all living things have spirit. The spirit might not be as obvious as you would think. I think that it is curious that an attitude can be called a spirit...like "team spirit" or "the spirit of the moment". It seems to me that our spirit could be self defined...an attitude if you will...based on our notion of self. I have no proof and I will not declare it scientific fact...it is just a idle musing.

Spirit=Energy

EVERYTHING that is alive has a spirit.

Even the rocks and minerals have a spirit/energy.

Have we already existed as everything or are we existing as everything or will we be existing with everything?

I think all of the above!

Well, if we are all an aspect of all that is, then we are everything in that ultimate sense.

If you are referring to reincarnation or something similar, I would have to doubt it, but I don't know of course.

the issue of the cats being persons, well of course, or else we are cats.

the other issue revolves around what is going around, and I won't even to try and deny that either.

Cats were sacred as Bast and Bastet during certain Egyptian dynasties. Killing a cat during some periods meant the death penalty in ancient Egypt (http://www.touregypt.net/magazine/mag04012001/magf1.htm) . Middle ages brought cats as 'familiars' to 'wise women,' 'crones' (the 3rd stage of life after maiden and mother), otherwise condemned by the patriarchy, fearful of women, as 'witches.'

I am not a cat lover, but I've fed, medicated, put down and buried several feral cats over the years, some I've cared for for years on end. I cannot watch any animal go about hungry, especially when Providence has led them to my home. Cats, like all other creatures are sentient beings. They are not human beings, but that makes them even more intriguing to us humans - that they should desire to interact and live in intimacy with us.

Do yourself a big favor and drop the perjorative medical word "hallucinatory." Whatever you and I might perceive in "non-ordinary" states of awareness are not necessarily false as the word suggests. There are insights into the nature of all manner of beings that strictly material-plane medical science has no clue about, but which many 'primitive' systems of thought can account for, systematize and predict. The flora and fauna of the Astral Planes have been known from Africa to Haiti to Cuba; from Romania, the British Isles, Siberia; Central and South America. When Eskimos were given Ayahuasca, they had visions of Jaguars, yet common tabbies are all that they'd ever known. Cats dwell in the collective unconscious of humankind. They are a unique form of being that can know our minds in ways that we could never understand.

I see it sometimes too. The animals no doubt pack more energy than watching the tree spirits. Mostly I just feel it, and it is pretty rare in my case to witness it with my eyes. Which I don't think really happens. I think your third eye sees it, and your brain transfers this vision to your physical eyes. Same with auras, if you see auras it is because you can make your third eye and physical eyes as one. I could be wrong.

You gotta feel it. Otherwise you will become dead, with blocked energy. I've been so cut off from the circuit of life. You just let it breath through your mind and flow from the roots of magma up through your feet. Chakra work is a good idea, so the energy does not pool in a certain area. For me, I have to work it past my stomach up into my head if I am to stay healthy. Some people have overactive areas, and you have to balance yourself first and foremost. I think all people deal with this, whether they realize or not they are working with 'spirit energy' and 'chakras'.. Those terms are so new age anyways.

As has been said, spirit is there in everything.

if you wanna throw in karmatik past lives, spirit guides, who in essence live through their given and developed spirit animals, as well.

prying open the third eye, and opening other essential chakras leads to the awakening of spirit, all for us and within.  whatever these spirits may be, it is how you channel the energies that matter

--------------------
A plethora of music aspirations control my temptations of future revelations beyond "now". The percussion, and the heart beat of my love and devotion. The rhythm goes beyond, prying into the third eye, releasing the creativity held so far inside. The melodicies, through the out of tune pianos and broken classical guitars...there lies a beauty. A beauty as prevelent as the fire inside. To release these energies is pure ecstacy, to deveop these gifts is sacred. The vocality, so pure as can be, shying away from herself, lies within me. For the underlying serenitity, this is what I live for. I plea for harmony, and nothing more. Music equals love. Creation of love leads to the procreativity of the World, and it's spirals and puddles prevailing.
