Glove boxes are outdated and not common in modern fungal labs.

>prevent back flow of air, however this is not absolutely necessary so long as you have some outlet for the "clean" air at an opposite end small enough to maintain positive pressure within the glovebox.

>no airflow, this is only a good idea if you are not useing any flame and plan on fogging the glovebox with some sterilizing agent such as ethanol + some vircide (such as lysol).. and the fumes of that are not healty for your culture.. soo....
