i read the article but i dont know much about the UK legal system.. is the change from class 'B' to 'C' signifigant?

I just read it at ff.

" I hope you'll join with me in celibrating the announcment today by the UK Government's Home Secretary (David Blunket) that he intends to reduce the illegality of Cannabis from a class B to a class C. This means that:
1) An indevidual can no longer be arrested for possesion.
2) An indevidual can no longer be searched on the assumption of possesion.
3) If found with small amounts(less than an oz), the police will warn an indevidual about the illegality of the substance, or given a small fine for mediumn amounts (a few oz)"

developments in the UK have recently been positive for full decriminalization. As a few MPs have pointed out the plant could become in time a valuable cash crop for beleagured Brittish farmers.

Hopefully The US will soon legalize hemp production, and begin to recognize the legality of medicinal marijuana.
the day its free worldwide will be a lovely day and from that day on people will celebrate on 4/20 the independence of humanity from puritanical ignorance.
