Are these things in any way useful?

It looks like good meat...not marbled but I mean its so cheap and there's gotta be something out there to do with this stuff.

I'm thinking stews is probably the only way to salvage that stuff...Anyone know any mideastern stews?

stew it.

Season, brown it well in hot fat, pour out fat, add mirepoix, saute, add tomato paste and flour, saute, deglaze with red wine, scrape, add back meat maybe a bay leaf and some thyme or rosemary sprigs, cover, simmer on low until tender.

During the simmer maybe add some potatoes, carrots and mushrooms.

voila!

sorry, chef lingo. carrot, celery and onion chopped; double the onion to carrot and celery.
