could the second flush from a pf cake be bigger than the first?

I just harvested my first flush and the second has started pinning. I was wondering if it is possible for the second flush to yield more than the first. I had 4 cakes, 1 got a contam, 2 had a decent first flush and 1 is slow and just started it's first flush. I dunked all of my cakes and I rolled one in vermiculite. THe one i rolled in verm. is the slow one. Is it going so slow becuase of the vermiculite? SHould I clean the vermiculite off after the first flush before I dunk it? Any help would be great.

YES they can get better on the 2nd. make sure your conditions are correct!! dunk and roll !!

The second flush is bigger on most of the strains that ive worked with, and the third or fourth yield the biggest caps, theres just less of them. You dont need to remove the verm before you dunk, touching the cake that much is just a bad idea. It shouldnt be the verm slowing the cake down. Also, dont dunk p cubensis in the fridge, that'll slow them down.
