Improving Absinthe Ideas

Alright, I know the traditional sugar method...it still tastes awful

Is there anything that will overpower the anise/licorice taste? All I need is something to make it smoother in shots, I have no desire to savor that flavor unless I have to

I've only drank this one kind...Sebor. If any absinthe resembles this, I won't like it

is it the anise seed taste you dont like, or the alcohol burning your throat?

Last bottle of absinthe I had was $70, and I've heard it's gone up in price since. I live in the USA, so it was hard to come buy... but much better than the make-your-own-abstinthe kits.

I'd really like to concintrate the thujone and take it with out/very little alcohol...

Ice? cold dulls the tastebuds. or maybe mixing it with another liqueur like blackberry. Pernod (another anise flavored liqueur and blackberry are traditional paring in England. But I'll admit it taste fuckin horrid.)
