Hey yall,
First let me say that this message board has been the most help I have found anywhere online....try not to take it for granted with this oldtimer/newbie war crap going on...hahaha ya sound like a bunch a pussys...
Anyway, im just starting out and have a couple a questions
(i was jk about the pussy thing) here are a few of the many...
1-how long will perlite last before it has to be changed?
I dont want to disturb the trays trying to clean that shit up.Any other ideas?
2-I have a 50 gallon aquarium that im going to use...
. o 0 Im thinking a nice centerpiece for the living room
But do the sides have to be covered? I know about that whole light/growing upwards thing but is it bad if its open on all sides?
3.Can I cover the whole bottom with dirt and make a little garden? maybe some grass and a few worms would help.
Id like to be able to SEE the whole process taking place!
so anyone who wants to help out a newbie with a passion lemme know ok...
If you guys will just help me get through my first time and make sure it dosent hurt too much....
and make me feel real pretty(wtf am i sayin)...when its all over, everyones invited over for "milk and cookies"!

1. The perlite will last through all your flushes. If you have any doubts, just spray a lil water on it.
2. You'll be fine is the sides arn't covered. They'll grow every which direction but I never heard anyone say "I'm not eatin that, it's growin sideways!"
3. Please have gunja cookies and I call dibs on the couch!

Say a small prayer when you pick them that no one gets hurt

And yes, people need to lighten the fuck up
