2cc's on a quart wbs jar to little?

hey im a newbie thats trying a bulk grow ..i know im inexperienced but i have done alot of reading on techniques and grow logs... so i said what the heck ..y not try it ..anyway i inoculated wbs about a week ago with 2cc's per quart jars and only 3 out of 7 of them are showing signs of growth. i just read that some people used 5cc's per quart jar.
Was 2cc's to little? Can i re add some inoculant? Will the jars with some growth have enough of a mycellium network to produce large shrooms? Or will it just take a little bit longer?
any advice or comments are greatly appreciated

I would definetly use more then 2 cc's of inoculate. I use 2 cc's per 250 ml jar with excellent results, usually growth within 24 hours. Your jars will still fully colonize, it will just take a bit longer. Don't worry, just have some patience and use more inoculate next time.

I use 1-2cc's per 5lbs of WBS with out any problems, growth isnt that slow.

up to 2cc's is fine, if you get into adding more it could mess up the water content of the jars. ime (only done a couple times) with wbs too much water is a very bad thing and colonization will be minimal at best. prisoner gave you the amounts that the teks say to innoc with, so i would stick with that if i were you. good luck peace

Maybe I am using too much. I have never had any problems with too much moisture or anything though. What kind of container do you put 5 lbs of wbs in in when you inoculate it?

Hehe DIY autoclave bags, effectively the same thing as agar.

2 cc's for a quart jar should be enough although it would be at the bottom end of the spectrum. Around 3 cc's would be more efficient. I wouldn't try to add more personally but it may help if they are too slow to colonize. The size of the shrooms isn't determined by the amount of mycelium from your jar. The size of the mycelium affects the amount of bulk substrate you can use.

I haven't tried WBS but with quart jars of rye berries I use the same amount of MS solution as I would for 1/2 pint PF cakes...1cc per jar.
There are literally millions of spores in a spore syringe, why use more then you need?
Just shake vigorously before you inoculate.
On that note,I wouldn't waste anymore MS solution on those jars.Make a new batch of WBS jars if anything.
Also, have more patience and let the other four jars sit another week, then start to worry.
And finally,it's also about genetics, and when working with MS it's a shot in the dark. You have no idea what the results will be until completely grown out.You can end up with a slow colonizing strain,a poor fruiting strain,a prolific fruiter, big mushrooms, little mushrooms....it's a total crapshoot.
You could try making a sugar LC or a Grain LC to speed up colonization as you'd be working with living mycelium so it's ready to go and should start colonize the WBS in a matter of a day, rather then waiting 3-7 day for spore germination.

Imo 1/2 -2 cc is more than adaquate. And cuts down on the nastys from the prints. 2cc of lc seems good though, just depends on what you were talking about.
