Ok my question is when you case your crumbled cake and put it into the incubator, do I need to punch holes in the alum. foil cover for it to breath. I have never done a casing before just spawn into h poo, and in that case I put holes in the alum foil cover. But all the teks about casing mention no holes while its in the incubation chamber.

an aluminum foil cover doesn't fit so tight that you need worry over air exchange,

watch your temps.

watch the moisture content too, i've had problems with my casing drying out in the incubator before. just make sure it can't escape easily.

Well I have these pyrex baking dishes that have plastic lids. I am thinking about using those if the casing doesnt need any air flow.
