You should try focusing on the cake and not the background. Will help with the clarity.

Well sir, you have yourself the exact same situation I was in about two days ago. Those spikes are just agressive mycelium showing rhizomorphic growth due to high humidity. You should see some pins any time now.

even though the pic is blurry, i believe that you have got some pins there. don't think it is rhizos. congrats, man.

well i look at the pic you got and see formation besides myc, rhizos are myc(all white in color) and ropey kind of looking stuff. your pic shows coloration of pins (except no brown cap) stem colors. also i don't know if rhizos would be that thick. that is what i see, but i could very well be wrong. it is really hard to tell with the blurry pic and all the fluffy myc around them. does your pmp have dripping condensation all over the inside? if so then it is 100% rh.
good luck
peace

i would have to say spikes or rhizos as us professionals call them. Reason being the lack of wetness on the cake. get it wet, knock those down

too much effort in trying to focus in on the shiity pic. Try the macro setting, some cameras have it as a flower.
This pic was taken 8 inches away from the lens. (please note!!! Tahoe is drinking and poping vicadins. Let the shit talking begin)
