Temprature, Humidity and moisture.

Hey everyone, it's one of the newbs with some newbie questions. So I am almost ready to get this process started. However, I am cultivating mushrooms with several friends so we are expecting a large harvest [hopefully]. We were not sure where we should keep the rubbermaid containers.. but one of my friends suggested his attic. However, he said that when temps reach 85-90 the temp in the attic goes above 95-100. That would kill the growth. :frown: So my question is does anyone have any kind of method to cool off the container to keep it at a constant temp. Also, how many suggest a layer of perlite to control humidity? My last question is, if we decide against the attic, as I am thinking right now, the other place that we could  do it is my room. The question i have here is will the rubbermaid containers start to smell what-so-ever?! When I was growing pot at my house the smell was delightful, for some reason the smell of fungi does not seem as appealing.I have read that the perlite begins to smell skunky after a while. Thanks for all the comments.

if your doing it with friends and want a good yeild i suggest you do some research on monotub, doubletub setup and learn how to spawn to horse poo you can order some from tenn stud if you can't find it at home, and no it does not smell. Then i would place the tubs in a room that stays in the low seventies, air conditioned room if need be. the bulk sub will keep good humidity with little to no misting, and you will get alot better yeild for your effort.

so far perlite has the best humidity results for me, i also use a ghetto rigged bubbler for a little extra humidity.
