Complete complacentry
    #4334950 - 06/25/05 02:21 AM (18 years, 9 months ago)

Some people go through their entire lives not doing anything.

Complete complacentry. Whatever comes to them, they take. Complain their entire lives but do nothing about it. The power of choice, consciousness is what makes us human, the only thing in fact, and is also the #1 neglected factor that we use.

The mold of society follows the loudest, most powerful alpha male, following their animal primal instinct at all times. Copulate, eat drive-through dollar menu shit, get jacked up on hard drugs, major in business, make lots of money, die. Think for yourself, question existence, and you?ll realize that there?s a lot more to life than going for point A to B, more than waking up by your fucking alarm clock, getting to your 9-5 job and getting drunk, and find out that it?s not the destination, it?s the journey.

If you don?t like something, change it. Speak extrovertiavly, splash out whats on your mind. It is not a matter of having a powerful or a weak personality, it is the power of expressing ourselves. The human brain is a growing organism, the more your put in, the more wiser, more powerful you become.

?Empty your purse in your mind, and no one can rob you of your riches?

Pay attention to details, to tiny tiny details that make up your day, and find out that it?s the little things that really make the difference.

Stop the daily haste for a time period.

THINK.

And find out what really makes us human.

Everyone goes through their entire lives interacting with their environment in every moment. This seems to contradict your statement here.

Not quite, amount of interaction is what makes the call, ultimately chaning, molding our enviroment and surroundings to our ways.

Appreciate your intellect and make something of it.

Thanks for posting, btw.

There is always a constant, unchanging amount of interaction with our environment within every moment. Its known as being. One cannot have more or less of being. It simply is.

I understand what you are saying, a considerable amount of people might not be "living life to its fullest". Of course, everyone lives their life the only way they know how, as it comes natural to them. There is absolutely no standard by which to judge this.

Istigkeit?"Is-ness." Neither agreeable or disagreeable. Yes.

However,

"
There is always a constant, unchanging amount of interaction
"

is quite an oxymoron.

Im not judging, just trying to spread whatever formulas my young mind has formulated, seeing if it is of any value.

I just see a lot of people bitching about how their lives suck, and not willing to move a finger to do something about it. Never ending sob stories, bitching and moaning.

Dont like something?

Take action.

It's better to regret something you did, than to regret something you didnt.

Nah, constant interaction isn't an oxymoron. In each second we are interacting with every other variable in the universe. The word "constant" implies that there is no second that goes by without total interaction. Being cannot be quantified, it is the result of these interactions.

The nature and actual content of an interaction is inherently constantly changing, just as interation is constant and total as well. Or something.

The way see it, there are two kinds of laziness or complacency. In India, the indians like to sit down in the sun, drink tea, and have a jolly nice time, and thats what they call laziness. We, in the west, have a disease which Soygyal Rinpcohe calls "Active Laziness", this implies that we are always in the process of doing, even if we arent doing anything, our minds are always thinking, planning, and going off on some story, never being present. The reason that we are always doing this, is becuase we have accumilated such an ingrained habitual tendency to distract ourselves from ourselves.

We do everything and anything in order not to face ourselves at all, in any direct way. This is becuase, in actuality, we know, and sort of sense, that this notion of 'self' is not real. Its an illusion that we created which, gives rise to the illusion of separteness between "us" and the seemingly "external" world. In this way we can think that we have some 'individual' idenity that separates us from everyone else, and inevitably, most fo the time, the pain of having to see directly the pain of others and oneself. becuase the more we give up this idea of "self" the more we directly percieve or even experience the suffering of others, which is identical, in nature, to our own suffering.

But what we fail to recongnise is that this pain is nessasery to enable us to open up compasisonatly to the totality of the situation. If we have compassion, for ourselves, as well as others, it actually becomes easier to openly, and directly contact the pain and suffering in a very real way, and work to resolve all suffering, for the benefit of one and all, this action and intention, not only makes us happy (due to our selflessness), but deeply effects everyone that we come into contact with. A person who aspires to such a level of selflessness, openess and compassion is called a Bodhisattva in Buddhism, a Saint in Christianity, and an Avatar in Hinduism (although there may be differences between their depths of realization). These great beings realize the illusion of self and other, and live within the nondual wisdom of emptiness/infinty, tirelessly dedicating there actions to the benefit of all beings.
