Should I induce fruiting in this casing?
    #4332791 - 06/24/05 04:34 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

This casing is about 4 days old , on the second day mycelium showed on the surface and was patched. I wasnt sure if I should immediatly fruit it without much mycelium on the surface , I checked today and there is mycelium growing every where. Should I go ahead and start giving it 12/12 light and drop the temp 10 degrees to induce fruiting?

Thanks for any help

Thanks for the help , I dont recall anyone saying I should fruit it. Just to patch it up and wait a few more days , so its now colonized enough to fruit it?

yeah, after casing you wait until you just see the myc under the surface and then go to fruiting. if there are agressive spots you can patch them and give it some more time to let the rest catch up to hopefully give you a more even pinset. ususally only another day or two though.
peace
