possible pan subs?
    #4332327 - 06/24/05 02:09 PM (11 years, 5 months ago)

hello, i am new to mushroom hunting and need some help identifing some that i found recently. After looking through the descriptions, I think they might be pan subs but I could be completely wrong. I have some pics which will hopefully help. The bottom five mushrooms in the second picture are ones we found in my friends backyard and I just thought id put them in the picture. I found the others in a grassy field next to some soccer fields. They were in very large groups of about 3-5 feet in diameter. I tried taking a spore print but there was no print after I left it there for 20 minutes. Thanks for the help.

Try an overnight print....always be cautious about anything you find in fields (non-pasture that is), especially backyards. Nine times out of ten they are not active. Wait for an experienced individual to properly identify them as best as possible though.
