ONGOING PROTEST

(this is a reprint from 10/14/01) After receiving FOUR phone calls on this subject, I was compelled to make my first post. First of all I would like to say, that I am a PROMINENT member of the gay community. I have been a leader/activist in not only my city (NY), but I have also participated in protests and demonstrations throughout the entire country as well. My organization/group is approaching 7000 members. The gay and lesbian community has a large contingent of psychedelic usrs, growers, and experimenters. (anyone heard of Haight Asbury?) This Dr. Bluethumbs character is an obvious bigot, that make life hell for people like me and others who care enough for human kindness to be offended by such individuals. I herebye call for a BOYCOTT of Dr. Bluethumbs Old School Toadstool. That is not all, I also call for a BOYCOTT OF ANY OTHER VENDOR who support his cause. As for the Shroomery, free speech is imperative, but we have already heard this bigot's views. Isn't it time to put an end to his gaybashing rants..............Rainbow Warrior

Well ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Personally, I'm a straight married guy. I do work with A LOT of gay/bisexual people. Shit my wife has strong bisexual urges, she just hasnt really acted on them since we have been a couple.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that it wasnt untill I got my current job that I fully got over being homophobic around gay guys. Now I see that many of the best hard working white collor workers that we have are gay. Too bad that some still are in the closet in fear of the local red necks.

I have been involved in the legalaztion of weed movment here in the USA, and pretty much see us all in the same boat. Untill we can change Johnny Redneck's perception the minority views will remain trampled on. Good luck.
