its about the 4th and a half day.. right now its under light.. i have had it in the dark for most of the part..the white just started to grow on the top the past 2 days.. the casing layer where the stuff is in is about 2 x 6 x 3 inches across on the top.

Get it out of veg. growth.
Should have patched then fruited.
Doubt it will overlay.
Just curious as to how well it will pin w/ that uneven colonized/uncolonized layer.
Gl to ya tho

sorry, not to be mean but some reading looks to be in order here. veg growth = colonization. patched is when the casing layer has aggressive areas of myc and you put a light layer of casing material over just those areas. what is the tek you have got going here. pf cakes cased, what? peace

the tek is well, not sure.. bought kit online, states to be ready to place in terranium w/ perlite etc upon unpackaging... i think i might have skipped the first step (incubation?) of this experiment..
so mainly, what should be done as of now?
it is currently in its terranium with humidity high and prolly around 80 F.
also, its currently in the dark, should i go ahead and do the 12/12 light thing?
Thanks

i don't know. so you have done nothing to it but keep it in the dark and watch for it to grow. is that how you received it? what do the directions say that you received with the kit? just unpack and ready to fruit? if that being the case then get it fruiting with some light, temps around 72-75 and lots of fresh air exchanges. oh and don't forget to give it some misting until you see pins. good luck peace

Here is a picture of this morning after 12 hours of light.. still nothing.. hopefully by tomorrow morning there will be pins?
i ordered the kit from a uk supplier but he didnt specify if the kit was ready to fruit or anything, and because im a newb i had no idea of the process before that in order for the mycelium to grow.. so i stuck it in the terranium right away, but i kept it in the dark most of the part...
i will post new pics if anything changes. thanks everyone for your help!
