All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake. -Erik Davis

Did you download Upon a Tidal Wave of Young Blood and listen to it in headphones while high out of your fucking mind yet?! It was the last track on a mix CD my girlfriend made for me for the NE Gathering, and I got to hear it while peaking on two hits of white unperfed. Holy fucking shit my mind was blown. Not to mention hearing My Morning Jacket's "O is the One That Is Real"!
Anyway, I'm gonna pitch Digable Planets to my girlfriend later. SHe buys tix on her credit card and then I pay her back. Now stay on topic bitch! THIS IS IMPORTANT!

i actually didn't dig that as much as some of the other recent albums you've recommended to me. although it was still good, compared to, say Youth Group, it pales.

Wow you think Youth Group outdoes Clap Your Hands Say Yeah?! That's amazing to me...I mean, I like Youth Group a LOT (Saw them the other night though and it was meh) but I feel like Clap Your Hands is way more epic than Youth Group...I could see Youth Group being a one shot deal of goodness.

actually, i see what you mean... i could see youth group being a one shot deal as well.. maybe i should give that Clap Your Hands Say Yeah another listen. but the chorus of 'shadow land' is just fucking sweet, sucks to hear they didn't put on that good of a show.
by the by, i got a very cool bloc party show, live in paris, as well as a collection of all their b-sides/alt versions/outtakes - if you've got high-speed net, i can just upload them to you, otherwise pm me your address and i'll eventually get around to burning them and can mail you a copy!
