I got my hands on some "viable" nuts from a well known ethno supplier (probly the only one on the net that sells supposedly viable ones). I had no luck at all out of about 20 nuts, I believe Stonehenge said in another forum that he had some luck.

If you have any success let me know, this is one of my favorite ethnos and would love to one day have a living plant.

I had one come up, the viability seems very low.

“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship.” (attributed to Alexis de Tocqueville political philosopher Circa 1835)

less powerful than coffee, but i personaly like it more. Taste is preaty bad unless you pick up the premade comercial stuff, which tastes like candy

I once got my hands on very fresh nuts, the core was still very moist and mushy. I used to take the core and smash it up with some edible lime and some galangal (doubt thats how its spelled) and the taste was not only bearable but very enjoyable, somewhat barbecuish.

As for the buzz? Not much of one, noticble but as Rah said less so than coffee, yet much "cleaner" feeling. Very enjoyable.

If anyone can get any super fresh nuts from a nearby asian market do let me know.
