I have been experimenting with Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide for about a year.
I have had some truely awesome experiences with it.
Syrup is for sluts, powder is louder!

It will always depend on dosage. I defy anyone to take a 12mg/kg dose of DXM HBr and come back trying to claim they weren't tripping balls.

To each his own... I have taken more than enough (>1.5g) DXM and have never once found it remotely close to peaceful.

i've not touched this wicked shit in three years, primarily because I tripped way too hard on it last time. It fucks me up in a massive way, and I get very little out of it. It's not enlightening to me, it's just a body/mind fuck.

I take Prozac, so DXM is among the many things I can't do.

Haha nice choices....I have actually said "I am tripping balls" a hundred times on dxm.
Haven't messed with it in about 4 years though, I was extracting it every other day with some friends for about 2 months..
I would like to try it again though..it's been awhile.

Says who? I know of no interactions between SSRIs and DXM.

Only time I remmeber flying through space down green lined vortexes, I'd say I tripped balls.

Sorry, but I find this poll inane. If you take a dose high enough you will assuredly "trip balls". Although I wouldn't exactly call the ensuing dissociated state of mind a "trip". To me tripping means something completely different, but hey, to each his own.

"dextromethorphan should be avoided if taking any of the SSRI antidepressants (Prozac, etc. If you are taking an antidepressant and don?t know if it is an SSRI, ask your pharmacist.) This risks serotonin syndrome." (from http://www.dextromethorphan.ws/dxmguide.htm)

"It (serotonin syndrome )is characterized by various combinations of myoclonus (A sudden twitching of muscles or parts of muscles, without any rhythm or pattern), rigidity, hyperreflexia(A condition in which the deep tendon reflexes are exaggerated.), shivering, confusion, agitation, restlessness, coma, autonomic instability(instability in the autonomic nervous system.), low-grade fever, nausea, diarrhea(soupy shit), diaphoresis(Perspiration), flushing, and rarely, rhabdomyolysis(An acute, fulminant, potentially fatal disease that destroys skeletal muscle and is often accompanied by the excretion of myoglobin in the urine.) and death."

Wow man, thanks for the information. I was never aware of these problems. Back when I did DXM the only thing known to cause problems with DXM was MAOIs. Guess DXM is out of the question for me now that I'm on Zoloft. Weeeak. =\

Thanks again for the info.

of course it makes you trip balls if you take enough. only problem is you have to keep taking more and more the more you do it. there's no way i would ever be able to get down more than 8 ounces of tussin at a time. haven't done it since like november last year though, maybe 8 ounces would hit me hard again like it did the first time i did it. maybe i'll try it again in a few months.
