My friend has a jar that seems like it has no contam. but possibly dehydration. The mycelium is very thin and not very abundant except in some areas there is normal amounts these are sighns of dehydration right?

possibly, but it may also be a bacterial infection of some sorts.. does the substrate actually _look_ dry?

I think I figured it out he was sufficating them in the jars. Cause he took the lids off of half 4 days ago and they look great but the other half looks odd. So Im presuming the receding of mycelium was do to lack of air(or co2 build up)
