i bought volumes 1 and 2.. i guess its pretty useful, but the price is kind of steep.. If you dont mind getting about 20 pages per manual (if i remember correctly, volume 1 = 30pages, volume 2= like 13) for like 40 bucks, then, well, woo! get it

You are not paying for the pages, you are paying for the hundreds of hours of work that the author invested to develop this method. I have both volumes and I find them extremely usefull, especially if you don?t have a flow hood.
If you want some insights on how it works, visit www.mycomasters.com and http://www.theforestfloor.org/archives/old_archive/peroxide_agar_tek.html.

Yes, i know that i didnt pay 40 bucks for that many pages, but i just would have been told they are going to be that thin and printed out on computer paper. Its not that im complaining ( well, not too much... ) but it depends on what you need and want. I dont find laminar flow hoods that necessary anyway but the manual still is very useful to me.. And i would never type up the manual and post it on the web... That would be like smacking that author-dude in the face.

What is usefull... is that the members of the shoomery use those methods and endorse the information in the manuals as being usefull. If you had spent several months, researching the methods well enough to publish the manual, would you want the people you designed it for just give it away? Show the Author some respect... buy it!

Sort of like the Hydra-pod. Just food for thought.

I've got the 1st manual and it is good...the only thing I wish is that he would edit the damn thing to include his updates. I kinda had to peice some of the info together from his website. The tek does work and is nice for large spawning without a flow hood.

I hate to bust eveyones bubble...of course i might be wrong myself, but I downloaded that manual. Maybe I only got a few pages worth(i never seen the whole thing), but what I do have is huge! So much info that it would take me at least a week to read the whole thing(i'm a very good reader by the way :), it thats not to say that I would even understand the whole thing. Now like I said maybe I only have a fraction of it, but theirs awhole lota reading to do.
