WHen using whole rye berries i've always boiled, rinced and drained for 15 min. I seem to get around 1/2 an inch of water pooling in the bootom of my quart jars. anyone got any advice for me? I was thinking add dry worm casting to the jar but that may interfear with the shakability factor (the best part)

or dont preboil. the ggmm/tmc recipes dont use a preboil- 200/200 (or is it 200/210? i forget)- adding 1 gram of gypsum to the water before adding to the rye, and pc'ing. preboil is recommended by most but apparently not required
