the return of mystery psilocybe-like mushroom
    #4315303 - 06/19/05 11:40 PM (13 years, 1 day ago)

sorry the pics are so fuzzy, my cam really has no closeup function.

i find these mushroom sometimes, this time there were alot of them

they were growing on rotten straw that was on the ground, and thats where i always find them,  in shallow rotted straw.

they have a separable pellicle, purple-brown spores, and bruise a faint greenish on the white mycelium.

ive never gotten a clear answer on what these might be.
i would think psilocybe inquilina, but i find those too and these are different.

oh yes and i found some of these.

Well the some of these are nie pan subbs mitchnast.

the others appear to be a non-active Psilocybe, or possibly an Agrocybe or Hypholoma. There are six species of hyphaloma in the world with psilocybine and one is inthe southeast USA.

have a shroomy day,

mj
