Substrate and Sterilizing - time in between

I have a pressure cooker in the mail on the way here. I have all the ingredients for the substrate. Could I mix the substrate today and put them in the jars and sterilize it when I get the pressure cooker which may be tomarrow or even a few days. Will it be alright during those days or should I just wait till I get the pressure cooker and mix and put it in the jars then. Thanks

If it is coming tomorrow then you can prepare them now. Not a problem. Grains will start to ferment if you leave them in water for too long ... but if it is just BRF do them now. Won't be a problem at all.

If it were going to definitely be tomorrow I'd say go ahead. If it could be a few days, I'd say wait. While sterilized jars can last months, jars just made up and not sterilized are just waiting for something to grow. When you consider the fact that your mix wasn't sterile, who knows what could take hold while you are waiting for your PC. Remember, patience is a virture, and no where more then in this hobby.
